What’s Happening? — Updates from Kristy’s Writing Desk

Autumn: My faaaaavorite season of the year!

For the love of football, cooler temps, sweaters, apple everything, sweet smells, heavenly food, hay rides and pumpkin patches… I am one happy girl right now. I also have to admit that today is actually a special day — my birthday! (Bon Anniversaire pour moi…) 🙂 With the season of change easing in (and now that I have 36 candles on the cake), it’s a good time for another “What’s Happening?” update!

WHAT’S HAPPENING:

As I look back on the last year, we’ve had quite a lot going on: I changed careers. After 15 years in one industry, I hopped over to follow my passion in another. (Full-time author!) We had a 2nd book release (A Sparrow in Terezin), its upcoming translation into Dutch, and a few audio books are now available. I wrote and am editing a new novel (The Ringmaster’s Wife). I began verse mapping, which is my BIG heart’s-love right now. (I guarantee you’ll be hearing a lot about this on in the near future – #VerseMapClub) And in a couple of days, I’m headed to the annual ACFW conference in Dallas, TX. Good times!

RELEASE NEWS – eBook Bundle:

If you’re new to KristyCambron.com and haven’t read any of my books, WELCOME! Coming soon, both books in the Hidden Masterpiece series will be available in an eBook bundle. We’ll keep you up-to-date on the happenings, but this package is set for release: October 6, 2015. (Hint: Watch for #Giveaways on this website around that time…)

VERSE MAPPING – Romans:

Romans is a very special book to me. (I read it by a special someone’s hospital bed one time.) So now that I’m through verse mapping the book of Acts, I’m super excited to be moving on to this book — and inviting you to join me! Watch the blog for updates beginning the 1st week of October.  I’ll also be hosting a #Giveaway with #VerseMapping goodies, so stay tuned.

Hint: If you’re new to Verse Mapping, here’s a sneak peek at what we’ll be doing…

So that’s it… updates from my writing desk. And as for the rest of this happy birthday? I’ll be editing The Ringmaster’s Wife to my little heart’s content. But first — I MUST find a cupcake that is not gluten-free! (I’m allowed a cheat day, right?) 😉

Happy fall, dear friends.

With Jesus-loving, cupcake-eating, verse-mapping, birthday-bliss,

  1. Happy Birthday, Kristy! I hope your day is filled with blessings (and a gluten-free cupcake.) 😉

I’m new to verse mapping and will be joining along in your verse-mapping journey of Romans during October. I’m excited and am inviting my sister to join in too.

We are kindred spirits, Kristy. I love FALL and everything that goes with it. Apples! Yay! I can’t wait to visit Ellijay (Apple Capital of Georgia) next month for their apple festival. Mmm…apple cider, fried apples, apple butter… I can’t wait to make fall goodies with all the apple varieties I purchase there.

I’ve read your Butterfly and Sparrow books and am chompin’ at the bit to get The Ringmaster’s Wife when it’s released. 🙂

Thank you for being such an inspiration. You’ve encouraged me to dig deeper into God’s Word. What a blessing.

Happy edits, happy fall, and happy, happy birthday. 🙂

    ~Cheryl
