BONJOUR Carol — Welcome to the café! We’re so happy you’re here. So, where is your café and just what are you drinking this morning?

I’m having a moment of “she’s so much healthier than I am…” in thinking about all the morning coffee I drink, and all the kale-infused smoothies that I don’t. (And I admit — I laughed out loud at the Matrix comment!)

What Scripture is ministering to you today, and why?

“…think about such things.” I too love this reminder! And it’s the perfect time of year to focus on owning a thankful spirit (and hopefully, that it will carry through into 2017). Thank you for helping us to keep our heart in the right place too!

We love books here in the cafe. Can you share a bit about your latest release, Trust My Heart?

It’s a tough question, I know, but I ask every guest to try to narrow it down with an answer here. So… What’s you’re favorite book and why?

A question I must ask… Do you know author Jessica Keller? She’s a dear friend and I immediately thought of her because this is also her favorite book. (I saw a copy in a little bookshop on a recent trip to Ireland, and sent her a pic of the Irish cover.) You two would have much in common there. 🙂

Another fun question today: What’s something readers might not know about you?

I am laughing out loud again with that answer! Don’t mess with Carol J. Post — ha ha! Thank you so much for stopping by to chat with us today. We are all happier (and thinking healthier thoughts) for it. Blessings for your upcoming holidays!

2From medical secretary to court reporter to property manager to owner of a special events decorating company, Carol J. Post’s resume reads as if she doesn’t know what she wants to be when she grows up. But one thing that has remained constant through the years is her love for writing. She currently pens fun and fast-paced inspirational romance and romantic suspense stories. Her books have been nominated for a RITA® award and an RT Reviewers’ Choice Best Book Award.

Carol shared about her preferred cafe breakfast drink — a kale smoothie! I suspect some of us might be thinking healthier thoughts to jumpstart our upcoming 2017. What one thing do you plan to start doing, stop doing, or improve in the new year? (And reading more is totally an answer!)

  1. Hi Kristy, I have not been able to find “The Ringmaster’s Wife” for $1.99, I was able to preorder “The Illusionist’s Apprentice” for $4.99 though. Is the Ringmaster’s Wife still on sale? I just received your email on December 9th. Thanks for getting back to me. Judi Imperato. Foodsrbc@yahoo.com

    1. Hi Judi – Thanks for connecting back! The $1.99 sales are usually FLASH Sales – meaning the come and go quickly. The pricing is set by our publisher in conjunction with sales and retail outlets. One cool thing — the paperback is only $5 at LifeWay Christian stores right now, so you could get a physical copy at a fantastic price! 😉 Sorry you missed this sale but hope you catch the next – and enjoy The Illusionist’s Apprentice!

  2. Thank you, Kristy, for letting me be a guest on your blog. I really enjoyed it. You asked if I know Jessica Keller. She’s a fellow Love Inspired author, but I don’t think we’ve ever personally met. That’s cool that she’s a big fan of Watership Down too!

    1. I want to read more too, Judi, but I’m glad I don’t have to wait out the snowy winter weather. It actually dropped into the 50s today here in central Florida, and I almost froze!

  3. Okay, so I am already working on imposing some “self” boundaries. i tend to stretch myself too thin, saying yes to too many things. I have justified the “yes” as being part of my service to church and community. My husband, compassionately, is showing me that even though these are good things, I am often neglecting myself and immediate family needs. So, I am working on me in this area, asking God to remind of my boundaries and what I can legitimately do without neglecting another areas. I have to work on the guilt (that isn’t from God) that I feel when I say no.

    1. Oh, my, Cindy, I can so relate to this! I’m always overly optimistic about how long tasks take and what I can accomplish, so I often end up overloaded. Definitely something I need to work on, too.

  4. Thanks for the great post. I’m going to try to Excercise more( as I reply to this instead of going to my YouTube Excercise post)! Blessings, Paula

  5. With having been diagnosed with Lupus and Cardio Pulmonary Hypertension the last year and a half; I pray that I can (and will) continue to have God’s Grace to see the good in everything; not to give into depression. God’s love and care is the only reason I (and you) are here and may I continue to grow like He wants me to.

  6. One thing I plan to do more of in 2017 is read. This year (2016) I kept a log of all the books I read either in print or listened to on CD or MP3 CD, and I’m approaching 100 but may not make it to 100. While I wanted to know how many books I’ve read this year, I also wanted to remember the titles of them. I will continue to record the names and authors of the books I read, and I definitely want to reach 100 in this new year.
