I've been a coach for more than two decades – first as a jet-setting corporate trainer for a Fortune 100 company, as a bestselling author and keynote speaker, and as a former Vice President and literary agent with Gardner Literary.

I'll share what I've learned about color psychology and branding, marketing, and technical writing from working in partnership with such organizations as the Disney Institute, IBM/Kenexa, and Gallup. In publishing, I've worked as a bestselling fiction and nonfiction author for HarperCollins for more than a decade, so I understand what it takes to build a lasting career. And as a literary agent, I've coached authors in their craft—from aspiring authors to Christy Award-winning and NYT bestselling authors alike—and sold their projects to Big 5 publishers.

Virtual consultation on your query letter, proposal, author branding, or Q/A about traditional publishing (for unagented authors of both fiction and nonfiction). Each call will be tailored to your specific book idea/content, with the intent of highlighting your unique voice/style, story/hook, and assets to help your book stand out.

WHAT YOU GET: 

• 1 hr. review of your work -- prior to our call, such as evaluating and editing a query letter or proposal, brainstorming manuscript ideas, review of cover art and/or your author branding
• 1 hr. virtual consultation with me -- customized for your content and publishing path

• Novellas (up to 40,000 words): $2,700

• Full-length fiction (40,001 to 80,000 words): $5,400

• Long fiction (80,001 to 120,000 words): $6,700

WHAT YOU GET:

• A one-pass review of your fiction manuscript, including an editorial letter and in-manuscript notes specific to your manuscript, such as: character arc(s), plot, pacing, genre/era/setting, voice/style, and/or how this book fits into the current market. (Note: This is not line/copy editing. While some copy edits may be completed in the manuscript, this is specific to developmental edits.)
• 1 hr. virtual consultation with me -- customized for your manuscript and publishing path

If you're unagented and looking for developmental editing help on your manuscript and/or proposal for your nonfiction book, fill out the form below and let's talk! • Short nonfiction (up to 30,000 words): $1,700

• Full-length nonfiction (30,001 to 80,000 words): $4,000

• A one-pass review of your nonfiction manuscript or proposal, including an editorial letter and in-manuscript notes specific to your project, such as: core ideas/theme, your voice/style, content design and flow (including chapter summaries), sample chapters, author branding/platform, and/or how this book fits into the current market. (Note: This is not line/copy editing. While some copy edits may be completed in the manuscript, this is specific to developmental edits.)
